New Name and New Leader for RuffaloCODY and Noel-Levitz

Following merger, leading higher education firm has rebranded as Ruffalo Noel Levitz

March 12, 2015 – Recently merged RuffaloCODY and Noel-Levitz, together the leading provider of technology-enabled services, software, and consulting for higher education enrollment management and fundraising, made two significant announcements today. The firm revealed its new unified brand and name, Ruffalo Noel Levitz, and announced the appointment of Stephen J. Meyer as its new president and CEO, following news that Duane Jasper will be retiring from the company.

“These are two meaningful milestones in our ongoing quest to deliver unparalleled insight and solutions that strengthen the ability of colleges, universities, and nonprofit organizations to fulfill their missions,” said Al Ruffalo, Executive Chairman of Ruffalo Noel Levitz. “Our new name was inspired by the legacies of two terrific companies with complementary strengths—and reflects where we’re going together. The addition of Steve Meyer’s leadership will ensure that our unified organization continues to thrive as a special place for world-class professionals and to innovate in helping higher education and nonprofit organizations excel in an increasingly challenging environment.”

With decades of experience and leadership in the industry, Ruffalo Noel Levitz serves as a trusted partner to more than 1,800 colleges, universities, and nonprofit organizations. Harnessing the power of advanced research, analytics, and multichannel marketing combined with a deep understanding of the higher education and nonprofit environments, the company helps clients smartly identify, efficiently reach, and meaningfully engage their key constituents at pivotal moments—from admission and financial aid to student retention, alumni engagement, and fundraising. The new brand provides an integrated identity for its nearly 1,000 professionals working together and for the company’s comprehensive suite of offerings.

To lead the firm, the Ruffalo Noel Levitz Board of Directors has selected Stephen J. Meyer, a leader with a distinguished 25-year track record of success in driving client impact and healthy growth in technology-, analytics-, and information-based businesses. Most recently serving as Group President and Chief Commercial Officer at CEB, the leading member-based advisory firm, Meyer previously served as an executive at Dell, Inc. and at Trilogy Software. Earlier in his career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, he advised clients on growth strategies and performance improvement. He brings a strong reputation for client-driven innovation in product development, sales and marketing, and cultivating highly collaborative, talented teams.

“I am honored to join Ruffalo Noel Levitz, particularly at this exciting juncture. The distinctive staff, products, and services within this business have a tremendously positive impact at many of the world’s leading higher education and nonprofit organizations,” Meyer said. “We are stepping into a new era as a truly unified organization and brand. With expanded capabilities and an ongoing passion for client success, Ruffalo Noel Levitz is poised to add more value than ever in helping these organizations fulfill their own hugely important missions.”

Meyer will succeed Duane Jasper, who is retiring after a 30-year career serving the nonprofit and higher education communities, 24 of which were spent at RuffaloCODY. Jasper has been integral to the growth of RuffaloCODY while also contributing time to his local community. He is retiring to spend more time with the volunteer organizations he has been passionately serving for many years.

One of Meyer’s priorities will be the continued integration and advancement of the company’s suite of services while maintaining its commitment to outstanding client service. The firm’s unified capabilities now include not only the legacy RuffaloCODY and Noel-Levitz, but several other businesses added in recent years as well—Austen Group, Buffalo, ScaleFunder, and Scannell & Kurz. A growing slate of research and enhanced offerings leveraging the unified company’s industry insight, data, and capabilities are anticipated in the coming year.
