Nicole Burley offers more than 14 years of experience in enrollment management. Her areas of expertise include undergraduate and graduate enrollment, financial aid leveraging, recruitment planning, predictive modeling, and strategic planning for marketing.
Previous campus experience
Mrs. Burley formerly served as vice president for enrollment and marketing at Sierra Nevada College (NV). Leading the offices of undergraduate admission and athletic administration, graduate admission, marketing, financial aid, and information technology, Mrs. Burley helped Sierra Nevada College enroll the second-largest incoming class in the college’s history. Under her leadership, new undergraduate enrollment increased by 20 percent and graduate enrollment by 8 percent.
Implementing the strategy of athletic recruitment as a driver of enrollment, Sierra Nevada College joined the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Mrs. Burley was a key member of the president’s athletic committee and successfully led the office of undergraduate admissions and athletic administration to launch six men’s and women’s athletic teams using strategic financial aid leveraging. During this time, Mrs. Burley led the marketing committee in the effort to rebrand the college, resulting in the launch of a new mobile-optimized website. Implementing key marketing strategies including search engine marketing (SEM) and search engine optimization (SEO), her teams increased unique users by 43 percent. Mrs. Burley also held positions as director of financial aid, director of information technology, and chair of Sierra Nevada College’s retention committee.
Education
Mrs. Burley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Sierra Nevada College. She is a trained evaluator for Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities and a member of National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators.
