We’re normally out on the road meeting with you on campus during these months, but we can’t do that right now. So, we welcome you once again to RNL @Home, the chance to spy on our video calls with enrollment, student success and fundraising leaders.
Marquette University is leading the charge on supporting students in this difficult time. Dr. John Baworowsky, Vice President of Enrollment Management, describes the institution’s response through great things like Marquette Central, which provides one stop response to students. In this interview with RNL’s Rob Baird about the best practices for supporting current students and helping deposited students make a Marquette education possible.
Key aspects of Marquette’s current and incoming student support
Some important things that John describes as part of Marquette’s response:
- Having an easily accessible place that students can get support immediately and without “run-around,” like Marquette Central
- Utilizing the resources available via federal aid and state grants, through the professional judgment flexibility that financial aid administrators have
- Directing resources to these key support areas so students get immediate response, and engaging the full campus in this response, including multi-lingual professionals
- Having multi-level plans for the return to campus, including if the situation changes, so students can be supported
