Janene Panfil serves Ruffalo Noel Levitz as senior vice president for retention solutions, offering more than 25 years of hands-on leadership and experience in student retention and assessment. She provides vision and direction for the firm’s resources for student success, including instruments for student motivational assessment and satisfaction and priorities assessments for students, campus staff, and parents.
Ms. Panfil directs the ongoing enhancements of these student retention instruments, incorporating input from more than 800 campuses that use them annually. She also works with the firm’s student retention consultants to develop new innovations that will help campuses increase student success and completion. She played an instrumental role in implementing new assessments for the Retention Management System Plus™ and Ruffalo Noel Levitz Satisfaction-Priorities Assessments, and she is currently exploring enhancements and linkages to other Ruffalo Noel Levitz retention offerings. Ms. Panfil leads initiatives for new business development through partnerships with retention services providers, including Nuro Retention.
She contributes to the annual publication of the National Freshman Attitudes Report and represents Ruffalo Noel Levitz as a presenter and exhibitor at student retention events nationwide. In addition to these responsibilities, Ms. Panfil serves as corporate counsel and provides leadership to the administrative team.
Ms. Panfil serves on the Board of Trustees of Cornell College. She earned an MA and a JD from the University of Iowa.
