Dr. Brad Goan is an executive consultant specializing in strategic enrollment planning. He has worked in higher education for over twenty years with a breadth of experience in strategic planning, program development, recruitment, retention, scholarships and financial aid, and marketing.
Previous campus experience
Before joining Ruffalo Noel Levitz, Dr. Goan was the vice president for enrollment and dean of admissions at Transylvania University (KY), where he served as a member of the president’s executive cabinet and led the university’s recruitment, scholarship, and financial aid efforts. At Transylvania, Brad directed a campuswide strategic enrollment planning effort that resulted in record application numbers and unprecedented academic quality. During his tenure, Transylvania increased the enrollment of students of color by 205 percent, out-of-state students by 66 percent, and international students by 1,100 percent.
Dr. Goan began his career at the University of Kentucky where he served as an admissions counselor, assistant director of admissions, and as the first director of the Robinson Scholars Program—a scholarship, student support, and leadership development program for first-generation college students from Appalachia.
Dr. Goan received his PhD in higher education policy studies from the University of Kentucky. He also holds a BA from the University of Tennessee and an MA from the University of Kentucky.
