John Mueller

With nearly 18 years working on-campus with administration, faculty, staff, and students, John Mueller offers a wide range of knowledge and experience in enrollment management. Mr. Mueller provides his campus partners with expertise in the areas of strategic use of financial aid, enrollment and retention planning, and segmented communications.

Previous campus experience

Before joining Ruffalo Noel Levitz, Mr. Mueller served as the assistant vice chancellor for enrollment management at the University of Wisconsin–Superior, where he was responsible for the university’s marketing, recruitment, financial aid, and retention strategies and operations. He worked 16 years at Cardinal Stritch University (WI), serving in a variety of roles including vice president for enrollment services and director of financial aid. Prior to that, Mr. Mueller worked at the University of Wisconsin–Madison in the financial aid office.

During his career he has been responsible for numerous enrollment management areas including academic advising, marketing and communications, undergraduate and graduate admissions, financial aid, the office of the registrar, McNair scholars, Upward Bound, student support services, career services, prior learning assessment, first-year experience programs, and multicultural affairs. He has also served as the chief client officer for a higher education software company.

Education

Mr. Mueller holds a master of science in education degree with a specialization in enrollment management from Capella University. He received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
