The Student Satisfaction Inventory gives you a powerful tool to improve the quality of student life and learning. It measures student satisfaction and priorities, showing you how satisfied students are as well as what issues are important to them.

The SSI is the original instrument in the RNL Satisfaction-Priorities Surveys family and is appropriate for traditional populations at all institution types:

  • Four-year public and private institutions
  • Community, junior and technical colleges
  • Two-year career and private schools
  • Canadian four-year and two-year institutions

The original Form A 70+ item version and the shorter 40+ Form B versions provide options on the length of the survey you want to administer.

Use the SSI with the CCSSE

Many institutions assess both satisfaction and student engagement on alternating years using the SSI and the CCSSE (Community College Survey on Student Engagement).  Students won’t be satisfied if they aren’t engaged and won’t be engaged if they are not satisfied.
