Strategic use of financial aid leads to positive outcomes in enrollment for Xavier University

Xavier University approached Ruffalo Noel Levitz with one fundamental objective: to more effectively leverage financial aid dollars to meet its goals for enrollment and its student profile.

Action

The university focused its efforts with the Enrollment and Revenue Management System (ERMS), developing strategies for the allocation of funds to aid in the recruitment of various student populations.

Outcomes

Xavier has been able to maintain its student profile and meet its aspirations for enrolling additional types of students over a multi-year period. ERMS has helped the university identify goals and accomplish them through customized financial aid awarding methods. Xavier has enrolled its two largest freshmen classes in the institution's history since it began using ERMS.
