Brandi Phillips, Director of Retention SolutionsBrandi Phillips, director of retention solutions at Ruffalo Noel Levitz, works closely with colleges and universities to promote and support student success initiatives. In particular, Ms. Phillips provides guidance and support in using the College Student Inventory ™, the Mid-Year Student Assessment™, and the Second-Year Student Assessment™. Offering a wide range of experiences, Ms. Phillips has worked with traditional and nontraditional students in academic advising, career development, first-year programming, and student engagement.

Previously, Ms. Phillips served as associate director of First-Year Seminar (FYS) at Greensboro College (NC). Under her leadership, the revised FYS program achieved a 90 percent persistence rate for FYS-enrolled students from fall 2012 to spring 2013 (increased from 79 percent the previous year).

Associations and education

Ms. Phillips is a member of the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) and the American College Personnel Association (ACPA). She holds a BA in communication studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
