Craig Engel, senior vice president, works directly with campuses on the effective administration of their enrollment management programs. Offering over 30 years of hands-on experience in enrollment management, Mr. Engel’s career has focused exclusively on building, maintaining, and shaping enrollments—first on campuses, and now as a consultant.
Mr. Engel’s areas of expertise include database and inquiry pool management, staff training and development, and strategic enrollment planning. He is a frequent speaker on the enrollment issues specific to community colleges and graduate/professional institutions.
Mr. Engel has implemented successful strategies with more than 500 institutions, including four-year, two-year, public, private, liberal arts, graduate/professional, and vocational colleges. His clients have included institutions such as The Ohio State University, Florida State University, The University of Memphis (TN), The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (IL), Harper and Oakton Community College’s (IL), Western New England College School of Law (MA), Louisiana State School of Law, High Point University graduate programs, Bowling Green State University graduate college, Purchase College (SUNY), St. Ambrose University (IA), Loyola University Chicago (IL), Cornerstone University, The College of Southern Nevada, The Colorado Community College System (13 institutions), and Union Theological Seminary (NY).
Previous campus experience
Prior to joining Ruffalo Noel Levitz, Mr. Engel held campus-based positions, serving as dean of admissions and financial aid at Golden Gate University School of Law (CA) and in enrollment management posts at the University of Iowa and Cornell College (IA).
Mr. Engel holds an MA in higher education administration from the University of Iowa.
