Mary Nowesnick

Noel-Levitz associate consultant Mary NowesnickMary Nowesnick is an associate consultant with Ruffalo Noel Levitz, providing marketing consulting services to universities in the United States and Canada. She offers more than 15 years of experience in higher education and more than 25 years in marketing, publishing, communications and branding. She was most recently the executive director for marketing communication services at Loyola University Chicago (IL).

At Loyola, Ms. Nowesnick managed undergraduate recruitment marketing and student communications, including print and online marketing and communications for Loyola's schools and colleges, student affairs divisions, and student services universitywide. She launched Loyola's first marketing communications department and led the recruitment marketing strategy that contributed to annual record undergraduate enrollments from 2000-2007.

Previously, she was vice president and editor-in-chief of the award-winning national publication, Savings Institutions Magazine, published by the U.S. League of Savings Institutions.

Ms. Nowesnick is the editor of two books: Mundelein Voices: The Women's College Experience, 1930-1991, and Relationship Marketing: Process, Performance and Profit. She has also authored articles for American School Board Journal, Editors Only, Publishing Trade, and other publications.

Associations and education

As a volunteer leader, Ms. Nowesnick has been president of the board of directors for Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly, Chicago, and a past national president of the Society for National Association Publications, Washington, DC.

Ms. Nowesnick holds a BA in English literature, magna cum laude, from Mundelein College (IL), and as a Rotary International Scholar, she earned a master in linguistics at Cambridge University, England.
