Mary E. Chase, EdD

Senior Associate Consultant

Noel-Levitz consultant Mary ChaseMary Chase, EdD, consults directly with campuses on the effective administration of their enrollment management programs. With more than 20 years of experience in admissions and enrollment management, her areas of expertise include database communications, inquiry pool management, territorial management, and staff training and development. Her recent research has focused on adult online student persistence. She is currently vice provost for enrollment management at Creighton University (NE). During her time at Creighton, the university has enrolled 14 of the 15 largest freshman classes in school history, culminating in record overall enrollment. Academic profile and diversity have also increased under her leadership.

Previously, Dr. Chase worked as a full-time consultant for Ruffalo Noel Levitz. Well-versed in new enrollment management technologies, Dr. Chase worked with such institutions as Milwaukee School of Engineering (WI) and Indiana State University. She served more than 20 institutions by testing new search and segmenting strategies that produced outstanding enrollment results. Noted for her expertise in personalizing the admission process, her counsel has been highly valued by colleges and universities across the nation.

Prior to joining Ruffalo Noel Levitz, Dr. Chase served in the admissions office at Buena Vista University (IA), during a period when the university enrolled two of its largest entering class sizes ever. Culminating in record overall enrollment, the accomplishment was accompanied by greater student retention and improved student quality.


Dr. Chase is a graduate of Briar Cliff College (IA), has a master's degree in higher education from the University of Iowa, and an EdD in interdisciplinary leadership from Creighton University.
