Noel-Levitz associate consultant Laura McPhie OliveiraLaura McPhie Oliveira offers almost 30 years of experience in enrollment management and strategic enrollment planning with a proven track record for getting results. As a senior associate consultant she has worked with more than 20 Ruffalo Noel Levitz campus partners over the past 15 years specializing in strategic enrollment planning, market research, developing and implementing annual recruitment plans, predictive modeling, marketing communications, database management, document imaging, retention outreach, staff training, team building and change management.

For more than 18 years, Dr. Oliveira served on the Cabinet at Salve Regina University in Newport, RI, as Vice President for Enrollment and Planning. In this role she managed admissions, financial aid, career development, institutional research, retention statistics and strategic planning. Under her leadership, applications more than quadrupled, the university experienced record freshmen and transfer enrollments, diversity was enhanced significantly, incoming students' average SAT scores increased by more than 250 points and the six-year graduation rate improved by 25%. Her previous positions include director of admissions at Pine Manor College (MA) and partnership in MM&L Consulting of Boston.

Publications, associations, and education

Active at the national level, Dr. Oliveira has published articles in educational and academic journals and is a frequent speaker at professional conferences, most recently NACAC, NEACAC, eduWeb, and the National Conference for Student Recruitment, Marketing and Retention.

Dr. Oliveira served as president of the National Catholic College Admissions Association. She also served on the governing board of the New England Association of College Admissions Counselors and the Regional Council of the New England Office of the College Board and volunteered as a college counselor for students serving in Boston's City Year program.

Dr. Oliveira holds an undergraduate degree from Amherst College, an M.A. from Boston College and a doctorate from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
