Kim Chaffer Schroeder

Dr. Kim Chaffer Schroeder is an associate consultant specializing in strategic enrollment planning. She has worked in higher education for 16 years with a breadth of experience in strategic planning, program development, recruitment, retention, scholarships, financial aid, marketing, and evaluation.

Previous campus experience

Before joining Ruffalo Noel Levitz, Dr. Chaffer Schroeder was the associate dean of admissions at Transylvania University (KY). At Transylvania, she was a part of the team that led a campuswide strategic enrollment planning effort that resulted in record application numbers and unprecedented academic quality. Transylvania increased the enrollment of students of color by 205 percent, out-of-state students by 66 percent, and international students by 1,100 percent.

Dr. Chaffer Schroeder began her career at the University of Kentucky where she served as an admissions counselor. She also served as the assistant director at the University of Cincinnati College of Law. Additionally, Dr. Chaffer Schroeder has a background in measurement, assessment and evaluation. She served as an analyst for the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and currently works as an evaluation specialist for a federally-funded technical assistance center.

During her career, Dr. Chaffer Schroeder has also been active in several professional organizations including serving as president of the Kentucky Association for College Admission Counseling, the vice chair of the Kentucky College Access Network and serving twice as a member of the board of directors for the National Association for College Admission Counseling.


Dr. Chaffer Schroeder holds a B.A. from the University of Kentucky in Economics and Political Science, a master's in Public Administration from the Martin School of Public Policy and Administration (KY) and a Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education from the University of Kentucky.
