Jim Anderson

Associate Consultant

Jim AndersonJim Anderson offers more than a decade of experience in higher education, with experience in strategic enrollment planning, enrollment projection, financial aid leveraging, and territory management.

He currently serves as Associate Vice President for Enrollment Services at Boise State University, where he manages the institution’s enrollment profile and generates recruitment goals and strategies. Mr. Anderson created the largest and most comprehensive need-based scholarship program in Boise State history and incorporated a data-informed approach to enrollment efforts. Prior to his current role, he was the Director of Enrollment Planning and Information Services at Texas Tech, where he focused on strategic enrollment planning, predictive modeling, and financial aid leveraging. He also served as a board member at large for the Texas Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators.

During his career, Mr. Anderson has helped Boise State accomplish the following:

  • Creation of the university’s first strategic enrollment plan.
  • Growth in both freshman and transfer student enrollment, including a 22 percent enrollment boost for the out-of-state population.
  • Increases in test score, high school GPA, and diversity, including 20 percent growth in the African American population and 13 percent growth in the Hispanic population.
As an Associate Consultant for Ruffalo Noel Levitz, Mr. Anderson assists colleges and universities through developing strategic enrollment plans and achieving enrollment goals. He has worked with public and private institutions in the United States and Canada to administer change and organizational enhancement while incorporating differing strategies based on price, market, mission, and vision.

Presentations, awards, and education

Recently, Mr. Anderson has presented at Academic Impressions, the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Officers, the Southern Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, the Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, and The College Board Regional Forum.

Mr. Anderson has received awards from the Texas Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, the Southwestern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, and the National Student Financial Aid Administrators.

He received both his bachelor's degree and his master’s degree in higher education administration from Texas Tech.
